So I've been thinking about upcoming conventions and cosplay plans and all that stuff recently... as of now, this is a list of characters I want to cosplay as at either Saboten or PCC'10:

Lavi (3rd ver.) - D.gray-Man
Gokudera (tyl suit) - Hitman Reborn
Gokudera (jumpsuit) - Hitman Reborn
Joker - Kuroshitsuji
Graham - Baccano
Hungary - APH
SURPRISE COSTUME

I really want to limit myself to buying/making only two costumes per con. The reason being that I don't have a job. I usually just try to save up allowance money (cleaning my house = $20 when my parents feel like paying me) and money I win in cosplay contests and stuff like that. It seems like that's not going to happen though.. I love cosplay too much. D:

I was thinking that if I did get both Joker and Lavi made, I could pull together Graham and Gokudera cosplays and wear the four to Saboten if I could manage to room at the hotel with someone so that I could change. However, this would mean no APH cosplays. :C
My second option would be to wait and make Lavi for PCC'10 so I could cosplay someone from APH or my 'secret cosplay'.
My original plan was to enter Joker in the Saboten masquerade and Lavi in the PCC'10 one, so waiting a few more months to be Lavi really wouldn't bother me much because I had planned to wear him to that con anyway! The only thing is that I know a few people going dressed as 3rd season DGM characters and I really want to make his outfit because of that.

So yeah... should I make Lavi for Sabo, or should I wait and make the costume specifically for PCC? No APH/secret cosplay or no DGM pictures at Saboten? I'm really leaning more towards waiting to make Lavi simply because if I made him for Saboten I'd be making two complex costumes for one con, and only doing easy ones for the other.

Also, if there's anyone going to Saboten who is either buying a room or planning to and needs/doesn't mind a roommate, can I join you? I'll do my best to pay my share of the costs for the room! (I need a job so bad. D: I should try to find one...)

And one more thing, before I get a bunch of "ZOMG WHAT IS YOUR SURPRISE COSPLAY?!!11!?!??1" comments let me just say that...
The idea is not finalized; I may do it, I may not, and...
two hints: it's a version of APH's Arthur that is never shown in the manga or anime. It's modeled after another British character from a show I like a lot. That is all. :3
I may post another journal specifically about this costume later, because I'm not sure if I really want to do it or not.



Also.. one more thing that's totally unrelated:
I FUCKING HATE ANTS. My house in infested with the little bastards and now my room smells like Raid. D<
