Adventure Time: Axe-Bass

"Whoa, is this the family axe?! Did you turn it into some kind of lute?"


Marceline literally took the family battle axe, put some strings on it, and called it a guitar - so I wanted mine to look like such. I didn't want it to look all cartoony and chunky like a lego brick. I wanted something BAD ASS.
I attempted to the metal edges actually look more like metal, extended the neck longer than a normal bass (and more like an axe), and slapped some real guitar bits on it.

Materials used: foam display board, posterboard, tape, hot glue, paper mache, thin dowels, craft foam, and paint.

I rushed it in about 2 days, so the quality isn't as good as I had hoped for. I'm pretty unhappy with the lumps caused from the posterboard warping under the weight/moisture for the paper mache. I might remake it another time.
