Red Ribbon of Fate

The final piece for me Art4 class.
This one is about the invisible red string that connects each person to their soul mate.

You can interpret the cut in the ribbon however you would like to. There really is no meaning. Someone could have died, or a relationship could have just broken up or whatever... I don't know. I just wanted to draw the ribbon. I think I had heard the song by Luka (Vocaloid) "Just be Friends" and really wanted to draw the whole "red string of fate" thing because I thought it was interesting. I also wanted to do a "color splash" picture, where everything is black and white with only one thing in color.
